Event Description

In this North American edition, join wine bloggers, new media innovators, and wine industry leaders on July 24-26 as they converge on Sonoma and Napa Counties for the premier conference for new media and the wine industry.

This three day symposium builds on our 2008 success and brings you a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss the intersection of wine with the world of new media including blogging, social media, and more. We hope to see you there. As one participant from last year said: "All in all, it was one of the best weekends of my life!"

Choose your dinner on Friday Night! Beef, Chicken or Vegetarian?

Bloggers - we need to get the menu choices in to the Flamingo for the dinner on Friday night (brought to you by those fine folks at Inside-Sonoma.com and the Sonoma Valley Vintners...)

Please go to the survey here and tell us what's what:

I was signed up for WBC2008 and couldn't make it, so this year, I am determined! My father, who I haven't seen in 2 years lives 10 mins from Flamingo Inn, my mum is driving up from Palm Desert to stay with me during the conference, and the rest of my family are nearby in Marin and Sebastapol! So there are so many reasons for me to fly all the way over from Portugal just to attend this event!

Saturday night we will be pouring lots of great Portuguese wines at the ViniPortugal afterhours party, and I will have a least 2 of our own Alentejan wines on hand to share with you. Até brev!

Eagles Nest wil be there - planning some private tastings too. It's an exceptional boutique winery that can cover all the bases - Web 2.0 technology/ content/ comms load, grape growing, premium winemaking, bottling & marketing, Recommend small wineries plan to attend Cheryl Wolhar's breakout session on establishing winery social networks.

Christina, I believe a number of rooms were set aside for conference attendee's! Here are the details:
"The host hotel is the Flamingo Resort, an amazing resort built in 1957 and on the National Historic Register. The Flamingo is offering us conference space, discounted room rates, and free wifi. We have a block of rooms reserved for July 24 and July 25 for $169 per room per night ($189 for fancier Executive rooms); you can extend your stay on non-weekend nights (Sunday through Thursday) for only $119. Once you register for the conference, we will provide you with information on how to reserve a room. If you would like to share a room with another conference attendee, please visit our Forums section on OWC and talk with other participants."
I booked my reservation quite a while ago, but they may still have some accommodations? Please give them a call, it would be great if as many bloggers as possible were able to attend.

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
