Gotham Steak, Fontainebleau Hotel, and Sunset Corners Fine Wine and Spirits will host a Kamen wine dinner on Wednesday, November 11th at 7pm the cost for this wine dinner is $90.00 + tax and gratuity, there is complementary valet parking.

Robert Kamen had a clear concept of what he intended for his property. First and foremost was the desire to plant the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Few would argue that with Kamen Vineyards he has achieved that goal! Robert Parker writes in The Wine Advocate: This small artesian estate produces a total of just over 1,000 cases, with the vineyards organically farmed by Philip Coturri. Winemaking consultant Mark Herold is the wizard behind the wines, which seem to be going from strength to strength. It would be hard to argue against the fact that Kamen is now producing one of the top four or five Cabernet Sauvignons from Sonoma.

Gotham Steak provides the perfect place by which to ‘break bread’ with Robert Kamen and taste five outstanding reds! Gotham Chef de Cuisine, John Suley, has created an inspired menu to match with the wines in what will prove to be an extraordinary evening.

THE MENU:

1st Course
Amuse Bouche- Warm Foie Gras and Duck Profiterole, Plum Ginger Glaze

2nd Course
Roasted Chestnut Soup Foie Gras, Black Truffle Cream

3rd Course
Creamy Maine Lobster Risotto, Sea Urchin, Baby Leeks, Coral Butter

4th Course
Peppered Tuna Salsify, Spinach Gnocchi, Beef Oxtail Jus

5th Course
Spiced Venison, Sweet Potato Spaetzle, Braised Red Cabbage, Spiced Port Wine Sauce

Dessert

Any wineries planning on exhibiting at this? eSommelier is going to be throwing an afterhours event with a local high-end home integration company and is looking for a winery to participate in the event with us. We are currently awaiting approval as an exhibitor, but either way we will have a presence in Aspen during the Classic. Our event (as well as the Classic itself) is a great way to get in front of HNW individuals with a great interest in wine. Contact me here or email me (joe@esommelier.net) if you're interested.
