How does everyone feel about shipping wine when the temperature is above 85 degrees? I support local stores where I can but also enjoy the prices that can be found online. I have found some online stores will not ship when the temperatures are high but others will. We enjoy wine and when we review wines on www.vinorecorked.com we want it to be a quality wine that a reader would find in their local store. We have had some wines that you can tell they were not stored properly and we did not feel comfortable reviewing the wines. If you run a online store or even and wine club please let me know what you think about the issue and how you handle shipping wine.

Hi:

We run into this when we ship to AZ. Wines may be stored @ 60 degrees F when they leave the Central Coast, and the temp may be 110 degrees F when the wine arrives on Phoenix.

To resolve this issue, we found a shipper who among other things ships medical supplies and pharmaceuticals from CA to AZ. These items need cooled/chilled trucks to do this successfully. We contacted one such vendor, and he was happy to take the wine along with his other consignments.

I imagine that any shipper of heat fragile items may do the same.

Not everyone takes the time to protect wine. Online shops and Wine Clubs just use standard shipping methods to ship wine to a individual buyer. I have found some that will not ship wine in the summer months but that limits their market so most just ship away not worrying about the quality of the wine when it arrives.

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
