Yes Jerry. It's amazing what can be done with the free open source WordPress along with the wide variety of themes and plugins to develop inexpensive sites like the one you presented for deangeliswines.com.

Web sites:  I have recently heard a number of horror stories of web site developments gone awry - especially in the wine industry. Disclosure: I am NOT a web site designer.  We too are the victim of one web site design group that did not deliver what they promised.  As a result, we found a great small group in Philadelphia called Minigraphics. The site came in on budget, was better than we imagined, and was done with a thoroughness that is hard to find now. Check out their work on our site: http://www.deangeliswines.com. 

If you need help, or are just interested in speaking with a savvy web developer/marketer, send me a note and I will pass it on to Dan Chung, the senior guy there.

Hi all, greetings from NZ, Lime Rock is a small Pinot Noir producer on limestone hills on east coast North Island New Zealand. Not exporting to USA yet, but plan to next year. Which state should I start in??

I learned about OpenStreetMap due to the great work they are doing supporting relief workers in Haiti. The platform provides a very simple way to locate your business or other landmarks. The benefit for wineries is that it is very simple to correct any errors on the map. Google, mapquest, etc have lots of errors in rural areas, and it is difficult to get them to make corrections. Here we can do it ourselves and make it easier for our customers to find us.
