The 2nd Annual Galveston Island Food & Wine Festival is to be held April 14-17, 2011 in historic uptown Galveston’s Saengerfest Park.  Wine aficionados will have the opportunity to sample a variety of delicious foods and wine, mingle with expert winemakers and fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy a most pleasurable atmosphere filled with music and dancing. This years festival theme, Around The World, will create an unforgettable ambiance that will leave the crowd longing for a new escape.  Additional wine vendors, novelty art and jewelry vendors, and the traditional Bailliage of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Dinner will be just a few exciting features at this years event.  Hope you can visit us on the coast!

I'm very keen to get fans of wine tourism from outside the industry to look at my website, so I started a Facebook page for my business Wine Travel Gudies. I'd love to make it a page that has lively discussions about visiting wine regions all over the world. Here it is:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wine-Travel-Guides/39135293535?ref=s

If you are on FB, then please help spread the word by becoming a fan and then your friends will see that you are a fan and might take a look! And, then, do contribute to the discussions or start your own.

I want to galvanize the power of viral networking here! Many thanks for your help.

I just love to be alive…thank you so much for being a fantastic wine friend…

My big project is to connect people all over the world and have someone in each country that will care about us or our friends…

Our project will include ambassadors that will help networkers to find the right place.
A Trip could be a change; we will network, enjoy traditional gastronomy, tasting different wines, and visit the best places and net walking in a beautiful garden or in the countryside.

Every human being has got a mission…I’m very happy to tell you that passion, care and love and the instant confidence leads you to everything that you dream or want.

We discover a new world, new nation!
We think global with imagination.
Poor and rich living together,
Helping others today and ever…

Since we were born you become a brand, networking help you to be a bigger brand.

The universe is so good and great,
God is made of love and faith,
The stars will shine day and night,
See the flowers, see the light..

The true love of our dearest God,
Doesn’t go against anybody,
Please look at the waves in the sea,
Believe in you, God and me,,,,

The land of great love to share..
You are near me somewhere...
The silence is in our heart today and ever...
We are friends on this earth near the sky..

Stay passionate with your own cry..
You can’t ask why?
The Douro River is waiting for you and me,,,
The wind blows and you can’t see...

The universe has the positive energy...
The Valley is deep like the sea...
The forest has got so many trees to love and care,,,
Come on to Douro , I will be there....

Your friend!

Someone may buy a wine on their way to a dinner party and base their decision solely on the label, variety, and price. For them the relationship with the wine then depends on the taste and comments of those who remark on the wine. This might not be a lasting relationship.

However, someone who travels to Sonoma and walks through the scenic vineyards with a guide who shares information about the terroir and history behind the wonderful flavors of the grapes and wine, for example, creates a relationship that goes well beyond the label, marketing, cost, or comments.

I believe wine tourism creates a loyalty for a specific wine region or viticultural area more than any one specific wine or winery is able to do via their wines or marketing.

I also agree that clients don't want to be thought of as "numbers" as Debbie suggests or for that matter even as clients at all. Tourism allows the wine traveler to create their own memories and experiences to relate to when tasting or sharing their favorite wine from their favorite wine region of the world.

In addition, wine tourism doesn't always have to involve a winery's tasting room and instead, or in addition to, may incorporate a non-biased viewpoint of a guide on a hiking trail, biking route, or deck of a "cruise to Chile". And sometimes the viewpoint doesn't have to be introduced at all, it is there for them in the form of a great view after a good hike or walk through the vineyards.

These non-biased introductions to the wine world around them may be just the right flavor for the wine traveler and allows a real appreciation for that wine region as a whole to start to ferment rather than a particular wine or winery presentation which is usually only just a small taste that is sometimes taken with too much consideration.

Clients don't like to be a number, they need TLC,winery education and they will purchase and tell friends

Max, I would love to hear more about your Cruise to Chile. I agree with your premise completely. Happy New Year! Cheers!

I just finished doing wine tastings aboard national geographic explorer cruise in chilean coast and the passengers were very delighted about going back to chile to visit wineries. I think tourism in the same wine country helps to create a bond with the wines and help to have a fidelization with the tasted wines.

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
