Worst. Spring. Ever.

Ok not quite. We haven't got bud break so there's been very little damage in that regard.

But what a slow start!

As I write this at 09:09 it is snowing again. Not really sticking but just the same! Where are our 20 C afternoons, where are the weeds? Where are the tube tops?

The Gew's got it.

Gewurztraminer is a variety that can quickly succumb to overproduction in the cellar.

Like a folk artist or musician that excels with minimal handling in the studio, Gew needs a quiet hand during ferment and stability periods in order to achieve hallmark subtleties.

I dislike over-the-top Gew. Too sweet, too much acid, too bitter and too floral. If that seems unusual, it's not. Many Gew producers in this area (Okanagan Valley, BC) tend to push all the throttles up to the… Continue

Township 7 Unoaked Chardonnay 2007

We put this baby to bottle last week.

I'm sipping on some now. It may be bottle shocked but it tastes great. Can only get better.

I love that Chardonnay grape. It's so versatile and it grows like a weed around here.

We use it in three different varietal bottlings and in the rose and in the bubble. It's the workhorse.

I loathe the term 'unoaked'. I'm thinking of dropping it and just saying "Chardonnay" and the one that sits for awhile in barrel gets the "barrel aged… Continue

the "p" is soft, but distinguishable
the "rz" is like a harsh "SH" - like the "ZH" in Brezhnev

together they like the sound of air coming out of a tire

the "e" is like in "bed"
the "i" is like "ee"
the "a" is like the a in Bradley

the accent is on the "bin" : prze-BIN-da

Hi Bradley,

I am more of a wanna be Canadian. I'm originally from California but moved up here last year. I have been dying ot explore a bit more of Canada, especially BC because I here nothing but great things.

Right now I organize educational tours focused for teachers to take their students throughout the world. I actually leave for Costa Rica soon to take part in one.

Wine centric tours are something I might like to focus on someday soon though. I am going back to school to get a better background in tourism and I am hoping I can then move out to SF and translate that somehow.

Bradley, if your friend is going to be in Aspen I'd like to meet her in person. My email is rbakas@mac.com.

The launch party is still under wraps at the moment. Can let her know on Friday. Sorry you won't be able to make it. I'm going to try to crash the finale of Top Chef and streak through the set.

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
