Shows, competitions and the cost of bling

By CHARLES BACK from the Fairview blog:

The motivation for this post started with a piece of cheese... We have just recently received the Camembert Gold medal at the World Cheese Awards (WCA) in London, for the 4th time in seven years. This is a fantastic achievement, in a very competitive category. So, does this position our Roydon as one of the world’s leading Camembert? We are also the current holders of the Dairy Product of the Year from… Continue

Two years ago February my wife and I sat on the patio outside the Fairview tasting room sipping , I believe, a viognier, munching on bits of cheese, and watching those goats frollic about that tower. We headed south from Paarl and stopped at so many wineries we forgot to go back to Capetown. Actually, we forgot we wanted to go on a Safari north of Durbin and decided to stay in wine country. What a wonderful place.

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
