How to Read a Wine label

Ok, so you are at your local store or wine shop...you zero in on your varietal only to be staring at this sea of wines, and you grab the one that has the prettiest or coolest label. You get home...you're excited..can't wait...mouth is watering.. the anticipation is killing you. You open it....you swirl....you smell.....you sip! Ahh! jeeze this is not what I wanted, you slump in disappointment! Did you know that there are indicators on a label that can tell you some of the characteristics of the… Continue

Thanks Dale, I'll let you know. It all depends on how much time I have available. I own a printing business and have 5 kids. It seems like it would be a blast though!!! Do you have a website dedicated to the In Home Wine business that I could look at?

Hi Dale, thanks for taking a look. The ads that look nice are affiliate links that I got through LinkShare. If you aren't familiar with them, you join for free and they give you access to companies that do business on the internet. You sign up with different merchants, like I did with Mikasa. Anyone who goes to Mikasa through my link and buys anything, I get a commission. I try to pick merchants that compliment my blog. That's why i have Mikasa (wine glasses), My Wines Direct, and Cuban Crafters Cigars. I also recently added Allposters.com and their link rotates different "wine" artwork. Then, like you, I threw some google ads in there. I see that you do the wine at home thing. I've been looking into that also. How do you like it? Have you been doing it long? I'm sure it's fun. Making money??? Let me know.

While we would normally love to have you come to the winery, we are currently using a custom crush facility and don't yet have a tasting room. We are in virtual mode right now. Hopefully in the future we will have a winery for you to visit.

Hi Dale!
twitter is like a conversation. I suggesting having one or two people "introduce" you to the other wine community members, then you jump on in! We often talk about tastings, event, goings on, and it can post blog entries.

I'm glad you like the blog! I'd love to hear more about the 15th tasting. What are you doing?

Cheers

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
