- My name is Emilio Saez van Eerd (1969), a Dutch Spanish wine professional since 1990, born and living in the Netherlands (again), after a 10 year period in Spain mailny Alicant. I worked for wine companies like Domecq and Osborne (I admitt I'm a sherry freak). I had my own company Wine Meeting Point from 2002 to 2009. Export and wine tourism services were the main business activties.
At this moment I am working on a new project for a big Dutch retailer Jumbo Supermarkten on wine & e-business

As you know Portuguese wines remains a secret to many people and there are truly some outstanding wines. Dão region belongs to the unknown smaller wine regions in Europe. Our Terras de Tavares and Torre de Tavares wines are just produced with autochthonous grapes varieties, very well adapted to our soils and weather, producing very distinctive wines, completely different from all other wine in the world. Very concentrated, because of the very low yield, it’s not a question of fashion, but a natural result of the “terroir”, and also produced in very low amounts.
