Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…
Hello!
My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.
We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.
If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…

I'm planning on taking the CSS in March and I was wondering if there is a suggested reading list. If not, I was thinking about starting a discussion thread where everyone could suggest some good resources. Or if there is one, even a rough version, it may be good to just post that for prospective CSS students. Any info you can share on that would be great.

I am new to the website and came across your discussion about the expansion of the Russian River Valley. I also noticed that you are an ex/inporter of domestic wines. I was wondering if you had any experience and/or thoughts about importing wines to and exporting wine from Asia. More specifically any legal issues with the Geographical indicators of the wines.
I'm currently a wine law student. Any knowledge or first hand experience you have to pass along to a newbie in the field would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Let us know what you think!
I just read your comment about what you were doing before getting into the wine industry. I also moved to TX with the intention to return to teaching (I put myself through College in the US by being a TA) and was absolutely disgusted with the state trying to cash in on potential new teachers. I quit a 6 figure job with the intention to help and changed my mind after realizing that I would be required to enter a bogus alternate teacher training program (I attended half of the so called training lectures) and pay $4,000 to be certified with two Master's Degrees...
Glad to see I am not the only one with a beef towards this state... sadly conditions have not really improved much since you left...
I just read your post under the discussion for wine education in the forum. You had a lot of great tips and instituion recommendations for those living in the US. I am currently in Canada and also looking to take classes so I can gain a greater knowledge of wine and so I can explore career oppotunities.
Do you by chance have any additional recommendations in Canada or know someone who might?
I would love any insight you have!
Cheers,
Allison
Great seeing you at the SWE conference!
Thanks for the reply on my trial size bottles comment. Appreciate the feedback from someone who has been in the industry for awhile. What do you think about new airport regulations?
I also would appreciate if you keep me informed of any educational seminars, etc you may be involved with in the bay area, currently trying to expand my knowledge of the industry through wine education.
Talk to you soon!
Some of us were thinking about putting together retired exam questions to help people review for the test. A lengthier explanation is found here:
