Mark T. Norman replied to Jack Woller, Jr.'s discussion Winery Tourism Website in the group wine tourism
"Jack...nice idea...the subject on the Curtis Winery has someone who is not very dynamic...he is very genuine but lacking in delivery...and if you try to interest other wineries it may not be the easiest sell. Maybe of more interest would be a…"

Winery Tourism Website

After a couple of years of research, winery interviews and development, I'm in the process of launching a new website designed to promote winery tourism. The site allows wineries to post videos of their grounds and amenities, do virtual wine tastings of their wines and provide information on other tourist attractions in their area. If you would take the time to take a look I would appreciate your feedback. The site is http://www.winetrailers.com and at…See More

Winery Tourism Website

I'm in the process of launching a new website designed to promote winery tourism, so where better to ask for feedback than the winery tourism group at OWC. If you would like, please take a moment and go to http://www.winetrailers.com and tell me what you think of the concept of winery made videos used to promote the wines and amenities of member wineries and the site as a whole. This is a beta site, so we're also looking for Charter Members to populate…See More

Jack Woller, Jr. replied to Damien Wilson's discussion Just how good is Yellowtail?
"As a wine brand Yellow Tail is a huge success. That certainly doesn't make it a great wine. It seems to me that the success of Yellow Tail lies in its branding. It's a drinkable, predictable product that is widely available, reasonably…"

Ana Keller replied to Jack Woller, Jr.'s discussion Winery Amenities in the group Wineries
"I think wine tourism is a long-term fad. People will always visit wine regions of the world. I think you will have different levels of tourists. First time visitors, with little or no knowledge of the wine country, more experiences, who want more…"

Winery Amenities

Is winery tourism a long-term trend or a short-term fad? Does it make economic sense for a winery to invest in amenities such as B&Bs, restaurants, wedding facilities, concert venues and elaborate gift shops and tasting rooms to attract more high margin retail customers? By way of full disclosure, I'm working on a team that's developing a web site designed to promote winery tourism that's about to go into beta testing. As winery professionals your opinions and insights would be very…See More

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
