America Declares War on Roquefort Cheese!
The Bush administration’s import duty on “luxury foods” — a measure passed just days before Obama’s inauguration – takes effect on Monday, March 23. Importers will now pay up to 300% duty on a long list of delicacies bought from European producers including French truffles, Irish oatmeal, Italian sparkling water and Roquefort cheese.
