Larry would like to meet you in person one day say at the Capital Club in San Jose ?

As for the the blurbs on Rieslings just wondering which ones you're refering to here in Cal. ? Sterling is good and Ventana another of my favs, they're not dry or overly sweet, late harvest.

Just want to compare notes or know where not to go? Or maybe give it a try myself ;-)

There is a Riesling sold in some store in Sonoma, forget the name of the store , but it is from Oregon, Compass Riesling from the Umpqua Valley ... serious hints of Grapefruite .. not too sweet ot too dry ..Spa Wine as my Wife would call it, me ....Adult Koolaide it is unique. Ya it isn't a Cal Riesling.

The best Cal Riesling IMHO "Fetzer" and their Gewürztraminer just as good. But that's me.

Riesling is a hard sell, at least here in California. Many people assume it is a sweet insipid wine (perhaps because so many wines are thought to be Riesling and are, in fact, insipid). And because Rieslings don't sell, the vines are grafted over to another variety that can command greater prices and sales. In addition to New York, there are some good ones from Washington State. But they are hard to find (and NY wines are almost impossible to find here).

When I do tastings of Rieslings, from the US, Germany and Alsace, people like them. But they still don't buy them.

Hi Larry, Nice to meet you too. Not surprisingly, Riesling is one of my favorites from the Finger Lakes. If you spot Dr. Konstantin Frank Dry Riesling or Ravine's, you may want to give them a try too.

I look forward to hearing more about your views on wine marketing on OWC.

Haha. I'm spending WAY too much time messaging and the like.

Very nice to have you so active on Snooth though. You've made some great comments

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
