Pinotage Party - Beyerskloof 2006 and Kanonkop 2006

Encouraged by Dezel's Pinotage Party I opened a Kanonkop 2006 and Beyerskloof 2008

Beyerskloof Pinotage 2008 with its white label is the standard bottling from Pinotage king Beyers Truter's winery. The 2008 example is just delicious with bags of ripe blackberry and strawberry fruit and soft tannins on the finish. This one is lovely to drink on its own and it makes a cracking match with… Continue

30th Pinot Noir harvest at Hamilton Russell

My favourite SAf Pinot Noir comes from specialst Hamilton Russell Vineyards, on the cliff above the whale watching town of Hermanus.

Anthony Hamilton Russell tells me

"the harvest began on Tuesday February 2nd, a beautiful clear, sunny day with a gentle cooling breeze off the Walker Bay and maximum temperatures of 22 degrees centigrade.

It was fitting to kick-off with Pinot noir. 3.5 tons of Dijon Selection Clone 115 were harvested early in the morning from the… Continue

Remember the 60’s hit by Nina Simone “Don’t let me be misunderstood”? Well that song title fits Pinotage like a leather glove. The idea here is to show that Pinotage is a wine worth…

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
