Philip, I believe you're planning to be at the Green Restaurant lunch tomorrow at Fort Mason. I look forward to meeting you there if so. All the best, Abdi Humphries, Wine 2.0

Great show today at WineBizRadio. Did you have any idea what Randy and Kaz were like? And as an ex-pat how do you like calling a fellow randy? I think you did well. And I checked out Snooth while I was listening. I have several clients I consult for; before telling them about Snooth I need to know how it works for them and what it will cost. Remember, these guys are wine 2.0 neanderthals. Or Cro-magnon.

Hi James,

Thanks for your suggestions on the community wine sites
discussion.
Regarding Snooth, I see that you direct the consumers mainly to online wine retailers if they are interested in buying the reviewed wines. In cases where the winery sells only direct to consumer, do you work with them in directing the users to the winery's website?

Also, what type of statistics can you provide in terms of sales volumes of the wines that are reviewed on your site? I'm curious to find out what the success factors are in not only building the wines' brand awareness, but increasing direct to consumer sales.

Many thanks,
Ziba

Hi Phillip! Hope you are well. We were introduced through Jake Troy recently. Are you aware of any wine trade fair in the next couple of months in Europe? If you know of particular wineries interested in venturing into Indian markets, do let me know. I am currently not looking at American wine because of shipping costs.

Per you request on hearing from bloggers. I'm going to restart my wine review blog (we just did 12 Pinots; will do 12 Zins next month). I have in mind setting up similar exercises in other US cities using the meetup.com platform. Perhaps there could be some tie-in with Snooth (I did submit a set of reviews earlier along this line).

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

We are currently looking for any Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot wines that fall in the $1-4/bottle price range for a client that wants 1 small order and one much larger bulk order.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
