Almost lost - the bushfire inferno in Victoria
In the current wildfires in Victoria, we have almost lost our vineyard. The inferno claimed many lives and that is much more serious than any property damage. Our condolences go to all families who have lost loved ones in the tragedy.
Our house and the vineyard were only saved because of the courage and the interference of local firemen who saves us from loosing our property. The fire went through our place it seems, our little wood was burned down but not the vines. The true heroes are the firemen, the paramedics, and the ambos. It will take some time until the many rural people who have lost family members, houses and businesses will have rebuilt their livelihoods.
The next weeks will show if there is a 2009 vintage at Two Hills Vineyard at all. We will certainly continue with our grape and wine production. We thanks all our family and friends who kept us up to date on the events on the ground and helped to ease our pain and the anxiety we felt being so powerless vis a vis the forces of nature.

Yes, the wines are available in Vic. Vintage Cellars and First Choice Stores have access to 3 of the wines and various Restaurants have our wines listed. Berth Restaurant at Southbank is one such Restaurant. I can have Angie (our Vic Rep) contact you to drop off some wines if you'd like!

I have only recently joined the openwineconsortium.
In my site www.winetourismspain.com we have a wine Photo Atlas that contains nearly 400 pictures. We have put together this section with the contribution from many participants to our 1st wine photo contest.
I contact you because I know sometimes it is difficult to find pictures for some posts. In case you would like to use any of the photos from our photo Atlas please feel free to do so. I hope this will help you and that you will enjoy the photos… and we would be very greatful if you mention our site.
Thank you
Luis
I haven't tried them. I'll look around for them.
Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the positive reply. I really appreciated that!
The beautiful thing about "wine lovers" (like ourselves) is that most of the time we can find ways to help each other. If you take a look at www.thewinehub.com you will see that we have a vast range of opportunities for that...
Do you have a wine-related subject in mind that you want to write about? You can take a look at the blogs that were already posted to hav an idea of what is going on...
By the way, I'll need your e-mail address in order to send you the instructions on how to get started.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Best,
LA
