Taster A's Blog

Berries in July.

With all of the summer activities in full swing, it has been a while since I’ve blogged on OWC. Our main blogging focus is with Smells Like Grape and I’ve started a new photo blog, Shooting My Universe.

Taster A's on a rant about fish.

Yeah, I shoot a lot of boat pictures these days. I bought a bottle of Gewürztraminer Saturday. Will I have with this Gewürztraminer? Haddock? Sole? Swordfish? Lobster? Scallops? I don’t know yet.

But what I want to do is to draw attention to the men that go out and get our fresh fish to go with our white wines. The fish that is brought in to Cape Ann is fresh and is distributed around the… Continue

Hi Taster A (not your real name?),

I came across your blog first, then saw you were a member of OWC. I'm in the wine biz (winery) and have recently gotten into blogging. In populating my "roll" I came across your blog, which I think is great. Love the sensibility and subjects. As such, I've happily added you to my site. If appropriate, and/or you like what I'm doing a reciprocal add would be great.

But really, not required. I'll keep reading you anyway!

Cheers!

So glad that we found a common reality. There are lots of wine shops around, but very few are “destinations”. We are happy that we finally got to meet and talk Dave. What a character!

We love Portsmouth but don’t get up there too much. If you are homesick for Maritime New England, stop by my photo blog, ShootingMyUniverse. I have lots of Maritime New England photos. (Lots of pictures, not much text.)

I’m trying to get to one of the stores recommended by Jennifer for some of your wine, but alas, they are easy locations to get to from our area.

If you haven’t done so yet, stop by Becky B page. She’s my better half, editor and help keep my posts readable!

I forgot to tell you about the boutique stores in MA that sell B Cellars:

Colonial Wine & Spirits, Stowe
Charles Street Liquor, Boston
Hopkinton Wine, Hopkinton
Huntington Wine & Spirits, Boston
McKinlay's Liquor, Holden
Nine East wine Emporium, Natick

Do any of those work?

I love the name of your website! Our Blend 24, which is a "Super Tuscan" inspired wine is 20% Sangiovese. I think you should give it a try. Thanks for the pictures, Newburyport was the best place I have ever lived! I had to move from there to Dallas, TX which was a huge culture shock, I haven't been the same since.

Hi! My name is Jennifer Deisher and it is my first day at OWC! It seems like everywhere I go on the page I keep seeing your name so I read your profile and thought I would say hello. I am the very new Marketing Associate for B Cellars Winery. I have been given the assignment of creating a blog and I just now trying to find my way in the world of blogging and have a lot to learn. I also wanted to give you some information about our winery to find out if have or would like to try our wines. Here is a little about us:

B Cellars Winery is a small production winery focusing on the art of blending noble grape varietals from premium Napa vineyards. We believe we have created a niche in the market in terms of combining the best grapes from the best Napa Valley vineyards to create perfectly balanced and complex wines. Our wines have been rated in Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast Magazine as well as other publications. Our winemaker, Kirk Venge, was named “One of the Top 20 New Winemakers in the World” by Food & Wine Magazine (October 2005). Our wines are currently served at Four Seasons Hotels; Ruth's Chris Steakhouse; The Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, and The Wynn Hotels in Las Vegas; and the White House (yes, THE White House) just to name a few.

I am going to be watching your blog to learn more about wines that you have reviewed and get ideas of how to manage a blog. Our launch date is August 15th. Wish me luck because I am very technically challenged!!

Hey Taster A - sorry for not getting back to you sooner. We've been a little busy around the winery for the last few weeks. Nevertheless, regarding your question...the first commercial vintage for Kosta Browne was 1999. If you enjoy Pinot, I highly recommend the wines!
Cheers.

China Market

Our company is opening channels into China for exporting wine. We are able to tap an unique market for distribution but also delving into the regular market. High volume is mandatory, but we have an order for a smaller exploratory shipment. If you have a slate of bottles that you think would work well, please contact me if your wineries want to take part. Looking for low end and high end bottles. State-side or abroad. I would be happy to answer any questions via…

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

Hello!

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.

If anyone with bottled and labeled wine in this price range and is interested in exporting to China don't hesitate to contact me. Also, if you just have general questions,…
