It is basically a cross-link blog. If you find yourself writing about a wine that got the dreaded "89" rating from commercial media, cross-link it to The 89 Project. It is a way for the community to give those red headed step-children of the wine world a second look. So far more than 20 wine bloggers have signed on. Just back from Italy for about the 8th time since the start of the year, signed up another great small producer, discovered a few more.

We'll be hitting the streets with the portfolio (small and select to begin) just about Labor Day.

Too busy to mess with OWC right now. Back to Italy -- Veneto, Friuli, then Campania -- tomorrow. Back in US on May 8.

Then to VitignoItalia in Naples (May 26-28) and Terroir Vino in Genoa (June 16)...I hope that's it for awhile! If anyone is going to be at those events, please email me at mondosapore@gmail.com -- would love to meet up.

Looking to buy cheap wine for China

My company is based out of California and specializes in exporting and distributing wine to China.
