Yes, big companies tend to have the bigger budgets. But there's plenty that can be done with modest funds. You just need to think a little harder...

I'd be happy to share more thoughts on the subject. Send an email to my personal account (dave@sic-em.com) with your contact information.

Hey, Rachel. Yeah, I've worked with so many different brands over the years. Beer, wine and spirits has always been a great category. I'd like to apply my marketing skill to up and coming wine brands. Do you ever run across wineries that need strategic and/or tactical marketing support (in the Channel or direct-to-consumer space)?

Hey, Rachael. Been living in Sonoma Valley for a year now. Finally reaching out to the primetime wine folks (thanks to OWC). Hope to stay in touch...

Rachel, happy to engage in dialogue. And to feel that, occasionally, being a dinosaur might have benefits. :^)

I get a little irritated evey time I go through the airport and have to put up with the futility of "airport security"----because I know how stupid most of it is, just trying to reassure a few people that they are safe. Hah.

But it has definitely stifled people hauling wines around. A do it occasionally, with the different sized shippers---but usually don't bother because it's so much bother. Heck, I worry enough when I check my regular luggage in and ponder the chances it will arrive in the same place at the same time I do. And it usually doesn't.

Also, I'd be happy to keep you updated on events and occurences.
