New Portrait in Progress.

It's been my intention from the get-go to paint a large scale picture of my grandfather in wine. In the first sketch I tested what I could do with wine alone to render a face. I like the result although I did not take it any further than washes. That picture took 3 rounds before I decided to stop, I liked the result, many people did...and anymore could be a step back. As usual I stopped at a pleasant location, the only trouble was it was not the destination I had in mind. The question then is al… Continue

Same problem, different computer.

Is it too large for the page?

Also, make sure the extension is not in all-caps (*.jpg - vs- *.JPG, *.png -vs- *.PNG, etc) - it makes a difference.

Booda-
When I first saw your theme of painting with wine as pigment (why would one limit his palette), I thought: Painting with wine: kind of contrived. But then I saw the portrait and wow! Engaging emotion, composition and detail. So then I went to your website. Your work is truly gifted.
Thanks.

Once you log into Chateau Petrogasm, you can follow the instructions, which should lead you step by step to post a wine review. Once your image is on your computer you can upload it to Chateau Petrogasm. Let me know if that works!

Cheers!

So, have you eperimented with expanding the color spectrum of your work by using different wines? Not just different types of reds but, dessert and white wines, Sherries and ports, etc?

There are nearly 30 pieces on site and more to come. My mistake lately has been to consume too much of each wine I try and not leaving enough to paint with!
Cheers!
