Profile

Company Name
Terre di Confine
Where are you located?
Italy
About my company:
My brother and me GOT CRAZY and with Emiliano another passionate friend fallen in love for the Wine World, have decided to bet on the estate we got from our father few years ago. Now we're tryin hard but the passion we "cultivate" helps us to make it easier! We strongly believe in what we do! Here it is a nice place just born for making wine, smooth hills, great sun, the right water, make it happen that what we live for is simply a beautiful dream.
We produce organic wines from grapes of : sangiovese (2 clones depending on soil), albana (the original here), syrah, merlot and alicante.
What you want to get from participating in OWC?
Looking for serious people interested in wine relations, I wish to enlarge my wine culture through the comunication and the sharing of thoughts with different people from everywhere. I live this passion as a gift. And What I say is: "For those who don't drink whine at all, God has to forbid the water too!!" - Just kidding!!
About Me:
I simply believe that a good wine is an "event", I'm only passionate and I don't want to appear as a "taster of everything", this is not my job. I love tasting wines and tryin' to feel the all sensations possible, every bottle makes me expect a different atmosphere: starting from the label and ending in the glass. After having choosen a bottle, I always hope that the wine inside makes me respect the expectations I had before. I look for the right balance between apparence and substance, as it is for the all life, right? So I say.. Cheers!

Emanuele, it would be great to meet you in Italy! The US dollar isn't worth much these days, so it will be a while. Your photos on your page are very nice!

Emanuele: A thought...

In your quest to get more attention and publicity for your winery, you might wish to go to Google and check out PicasaWeb.

It's a great feature from Google, where you can upload and publicly post (for Free!!!) as many pictures as you like.

It is a very, very active site and I think if you put your photos on PicasaWeb you would get quite a few hits.

Plus, once you upload the pics you can send a link to anyone you wish and they can view your photos!.

Regards, Hoke

A hint: make sure you add comments and your location, because the search engine looks for that when someone types in a search.

Hi Hoke,

I've a little pray for my photoes, could you please use the name of my Winery (Terre di Confine - Italy) instead of using mine (Emanuele Coveri)?
we're a really small reality in Italy and totally unknown in U.S. - it would be nice for me to know that Some people will hear about Terre di Confine that is the italian way to say "Borderlands" (vineyards).
if you think it could help your project, I'll be happy to explain to you why we called it Borderlands, its history is very suggestive...

if you'll come in Italy I'll be glad to show you the vineyards! I live for that!

Ciao!

Emanuele

That's great. Thank you for your generosity. Your photos will be a great addition to the Image Bank.

Looking at your photos made me want to get on a plane back to Northern Italy!!! My wife and I have been talking about a Venice to Piedmont trip (with excursions through the Emilia-Romagna, Friuli and the Trentino-Alto Adige, of course). Some of our favorite places are there.

Sadly, with the poor exchange rate of the dollar, a trip looks unlikely for the near future.

When we do come, though, we will want to meet you and visit your beautiful area.

Emanuele: I would like to request your permission to use some of your excellent images for an Image Bank resource for the Society of Wine Educators. With your permission, I will include the images in the Image Bank, which will be used by our members for educational and training purposes only. All images will carry your name and copyright information.

In return, if you wish it, I can send you a cd-rom with the entire Image Bank (thousands of pictures having to do with wine). Thank you for your consideration.
