OpenWine Consortium

Technology spreading the word of wine through a world of wine drinkers

What is The OWC?

The OpenWine Consortium (OWC) is a global wine industry association, featuring the world's premier online wine business network, on a mission to improve the world of wine. Please join this network if you are currently in the wine business or you are going to be in the industry in the near future.

Get OWC Activity through email with "My OWC Updates"

We're well aware that there are many social networks out there and that visiting OWC isn't always the top priority. We also realize email is still the most dominant form of online communication.

OWC now leverages NutShellMail to send newsletter style summary of activity to your email so you can scan what's up with OWC on your own time with your own frequency settings!

Stay up to date with the worlds largest wine industry community from the convenience of your email account!

To use it, just go to the "My Page" tab and click on "My OWC Updates" to start sending OWC summaries to your email.

The OWC Code of Conduct

If you are in doubt about the rules, please refer to the Community Code of Conduct

Some very important rules are highlighted there. Here is a short excerpt:

* Keep all arguments courteous and avoid personal attacks.
* Forum moderators reserve the right to remove any post at their discretion. If the abuse is habitual we can also disable or ban any user from the network at our discretion.

It is rare that people are banned, but it does happen occasionally, mostly for "spammy activities" such as announcing dating sites on others' comment pages.
