What is The OWC?

The OpenWine Consortium (OWC) is a global wine industry association, featuring the world's premier online wine business network, on a mission to improve the world of wine. Please join this network if you are currently in the wine business or you are going to be in the industry in the near future.

The OWC Code of Conduct

If you are in doubt about the rules, please refer to the Community Code of Conduct

Some very important rules are highlighted there. Here is a short excerpt:

* Keep all arguments courteous and avoid personal attacks.
* Forum moderators reserve the right to remove any post at their discretion. If the abuse is habitual we can also disable or ban any user from the network at our discretion.

It is rare that people are banned, but it does happen occasionally, mostly for "spammy activities" such as announcing dating sites on others' comment pages.

I would guess that if… Continue

Wine and me : A version of how this magic happened in my life

On a table next to me there was a couple with a frind of mine and a stunning woman.

When leaving, I greeted the table, and the woman who seemed to have emerged from a dream, smiled.

In the car, driving back home, I could not concentrate in the Batman series of the 70s and sleeps with my head on a pillow just like resting in her breasts.

Next day,I called to my fried and asked who was that woman. She is married, said the friend, and very well married, don´t waste time. And why was she alone? I… Continue

Reaching Millennials - DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE

In keeping up with blogs, research, and ideally all things Millennial, I generally tend to come across well-intentioned but TERRIBLE advice. The latest was on a staffing company’s website encouraging human resource departments to create new, Millennial-friendly corporate handbook… Continue

I asked, and Joel did ban the previous person that was doing this. Now someone else sent the spam email. Joel will probably ban this person as well, when he sees the spam. Might be time to report that company to appropriate authorities.

El Jefe agree. It's all a great big "System" everything's interconnected. You orchestrate and integrate the parts – and hopefully the underlying humanity and passion comes through – and it’s definitely there for small wineries.
